Our Curator, Sandy Doble
In 2008 Sandy Doble attended her first ever painting lesson at Cedar Galleries. This lesson started her off on an amazing creative journey, which has taken her from Central Queensland to the Sunshine Coast. In this time, she has completed 6 years of formal arts study achieving a Bachelor of Visual Arts with Canberra University and a Graduate Certificate in Creative Industries with Central Queensland University. She has most recently been involved with the Old Ambulance Station Gallery in Nambour, having a seat on the board and holding the positions of Exhibition Coordinator and Volunteer coordinator.
She has also explored many forms of creativity from woodfired ceramics to printmaking and most recently photography. Her art has also taken her to the Woodford folk festival in the previous 2 years, working as an artist demonstrating lino printing and hand building ceramics. She has now returned to Cedar Galleries where this all started to give back to the place and people who gave her the push to follow her dreams. To contact Sandy to discuss your ideas for an exhibition or workshop, you can call her during business hours on 0400235481 or email here at [email protected] |
