Stay in one of our Guest Rooms to enhance your creativityCreativity can be hard-found in these stressful times. Disconnect from your every day and come for a stay at our purpose-built art and crafts village. It's an inspiring location for writers, artists and creatives of all mediums.
Cedar Galleries is a unique art and crafts village and farm stay in the Gladstone region. Stay in a serene bush setting amongst gardens, birdlife, artists creating masterpieces in the studios and visitors browsing the galleries and gift shop. Friday, Saturday and Sunday the village and café are open to the public. At other times it's your own playground. You'll be welcome to use our art studio facilities and grounds as part of your stay. The generously-sized air-conditioned rooms are refurbished art studios with high vaulted ceilings. They are in gorgeous slab hut buildings on a verandah overlooking the rest of the village. There are 5 rooms in total and they share a lovely self-catering kitchen. They share bathrooms including a spacious disabled bathroom. If you wish to come away with friends you can have a room to yourself or share a room. Our stand-alone room, The Coop is perfect for a single or double. Room 1 has a Queen bed and king single. Room 2 has a queen bed and sofa couch. Room 3 has two king singles. Room 4 is our family room with a Queen bed and a set of bunks and can accommodate up to 4 people, whether adults or kids. Each room has its own air conditioner, a large wardrobe and a table and chairs. There's no TV so it's the perfect opportunity to enjoy the sounds of nature and rural life. You're welcome to join us when we feed the alpacas in the mornings and evenings. They love to be hand fed. It's unlike anywhere else you've likely ever stayed. Your stay includes a welcome basket of cereal, bread, milk, eggs, fruit and organic coffee to get you going. All linen and towels are supplied. Located on the Bruce Highway we're easy to find. We're just 20 minutes from the Tannum Sands beach, the great fishing and swimming at Lake Awonga or from the heart of Gladstone and access to the Southern Great Barrier Reef. If you wish it may be possible to arrange an exhibition of your works during, or at the end of your stay. |
